The Llywydd informed Business Managers that she has approved a proxy voting arrangement for Jack Sargeant due to parental leave, effective from 4 June 2024 to 28 June 2024. The proxy vote will be held by Vikki Howells.

Business Committee considered and noted updates on UK Bills on which legislative consent had been sought, and which had now either received Royal Assent or had fallen upon the dissolution of the UK Parliament. The Committee agreed to rescind all existing reporting deadlines for committees on legislative consent memoranda.

Business Committee agreed to schedule a debate on petition P-06-1437: Increase, don’t cut, funding for the National Library, Amgueddfa Cymru and the Royal Commission on Wednesday 26 June. Business Committee agreed to consider the length of the debate closer to the time.

The Llywydd informed Business Managers that drop-in sessions will be held around Plenary on 12 and 19 June to provide an early opportunity for Members to share their initial thoughts or expectations concerning the Business Committee’s programme of procedural reviews arising from Senedd Reform. Views expressed will be taken into consideration in the development of a draft Terms of Reference for the work that will be presented to Business Committee prior to the summer recess.
